Flow gauging project - Waituna Stream

During autumn 2017, fifteen flow gaugings were carried out on the Waituna Stream for a Hydrological Study.  

Four key sites were then measured at mid-high flow using a pontoon boat providing valuable information for a client who was using the information to calibrate a Hydrological model.

AquaTech staff monitored the Waituna Stream water level for the desired flow conditions of the client and were able to respond within the time frame to achieve the measurement of four mid-high flow gaugings.  Even though this involved a very long day and weekend work,  AquaTech jumped at the opportunity to perform this work with Southern Waterways and one of their versatile vessels.
